Job Summary

Tri-County Human Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Counselor III to join our team. As a key member of our mental health and addictions treatment team, you will be responsible for providing individual and group counseling services to clients, as well as participating in the planning, preparation, and delivery of in-service training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients referred for substance abuse and mental health evaluations and make appropriate treatment recommendations.
  • Perform case management functions, including maintaining case records and coordinating additional services as necessary.
  • Act as a group leader/facilitator during group counseling sessions.
  • Provide individual and family counseling services to program clients.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other staff members as delegated by the Clinical Supervisor/Program Supervisor.
  • Represent the Agency in matters of petition for involuntary treatment and consult with other professionals regarding addictions and mental health treatment and intervention.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in a field related to Human Services, such as Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or Rehabilitative Counseling.
  • At least one year of full-time experience in a mental health and/or addictions treatment setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of addictions and/or mental health treatment and rehabilitation.
