About the Job

We are currently seeking an experienced AI Systems Architect to join our team at the FISTA AI Center of Excellence in Lawton, Oklahoma. As an integral part of our team, you will apply data analysis techniques to define and develop complex information systems. Your expertise will drive the development of effective solutions, working closely with analysts, subject matter experts, and data scientists.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop system requirements and specifications by defining challenges and outlining program details.
• Promote data aggregation strategies to support AI/ML use cases, ensuring seamless integration.
• Collaborate with engineers and customers to ensure proper implementation of program and systems specifications, guaranteeing quality outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
• Monitor existing solution performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements.
• Consolidate data from various structured and unstructured sources, transforming it into structures suitable for analytics solutions.
• Analyze and document problems related to original data pipeline issues, data staging environments, and system outputs, recommending effective solutions.
• Identify and address functionality deviations from specifications, working with project managers to assign tasks for resolution.
• Ensure projects meet requirements and deadlines, collaborating with development and implementation teams.
• Offer customer support throughout the implementation process, providing timely assistance and communication.
• Conduct user research to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement, driving business growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in implementing and configuring AI or machine learning platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning, and data analytics strategies and techniques.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently with some supervision, a self-starter with strong follow-through on initiatives.
• Adaptability to quickly changing circumstances.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with an Active DoD SECRET clearance (preferred), or the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with AI/ML, several types of datastores, structured and unstructured data, and data analytics.
• MS Office 365 skills, mainly MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, highly preferred.
• Relevant business and/or technical certifications.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure is based on industry standards and market rates for similar positions in the region.
