Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Family Medicine department. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our busy practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis and management of a wide range of health problems.
- Develop and implement educational systems for patients, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive appraisals of patients' health status and provide direct clinical care.
- Prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, and interpret results as needed.
- Document patient care and education provided in the medical record.
- Refer patients to other disciplines as appropriate and consult with other disciplines in areas of expertise.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant program.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois and certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by a national certifying body.
- Privileged and credentialed through the Northwestern Medicine Medical Staff Office.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
