Massage Therapist Job Description

At Power Wellness, we're seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our team at the Piedmont Wellness Center. As a Massage Therapist, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional massage services to our clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide various types of massage to clients, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
  • Ensure timely start and completion of appointments, maintaining a clean and organized massage room.
  • Participate in marketing and promotional activities to attract new clients and promote our services.
  • Assist in sales of spa products and services, maintaining a working knowledge of our offerings.
  • Fill in as an attendant, answering phones and making appointments as needed.
  • Maintain and assist in conducting monthly inventory of supplies, products, and equipment.
  • Practice proper safety and sanitation skills, adhering to industry standards.
  • Be proficient in all core business software related to job duties and responsibilities.
  • Be flexible and accommodating with regards to center hours, work schedules, and scheduling appointments for prospects and members.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy school required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a spa setting preferred.
  • CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire (provided by Power Wellness).
  • Meet specific state requirements for certifications and/or licensure.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, with the ability to work with members in a positive, service-based manner.
  • Proficient computer skills.
