Overview
PPEC of Palm Beach is dedicated to providing exceptional support to families and their medically fragile children. Our center is designed to create a nurturing atmosphere where the well-being of our young patients is our foremost concern. We strive to enhance the physical, emotional, and social development of each child through collaborative teamwork and a positive environment.
We are currently seeking a PPEC Assistant who is passionate about working with children and is available on a PRN basis. If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of children, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
The PPEC Assistant plays a crucial role in engaging with children through joyful activities, including singing and play. The following are the primary responsibilities associated with this position:
- Support nursing staff in delivering daily care in accordance with established care plans.
- Foster an interactive learning environment that encourages child development.
- Ensure a clean and safe space for all children.
- Actively participate as a key member of our multidisciplinary team.
- Assist with the changing, transferring, and repositioning of children.
- Help with meal preparation as needed.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pediatric care environment.
- Valid certifications such as CNA, MA, HHA, or EMT.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Ability to pass a Level II background check.
- Capability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds safely.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work on a PRN or as-needed basis.
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Compensation
