We are seeking a committed Civil Engineer to become a part of our dynamic team, focusing on a variety of tasks associated with bridge design and evaluation. This position encompasses the design and load assessment of both prestressed and steel bridges, along with the creation of retaining wall and sign support frameworks. Furthermore, you will engage in bridge repair and rehabilitation design and inspection activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct design and load rating for simple and continuous span prestressed bridges
  • Execute design and load rating for simple and continuous span steel bridges
  • Develop designs for retaining walls and sign support structures
  • Oversee bridge repair and rehabilitation design
  • Perform thorough bridge inspections

As you accumulate experience, there will be opportunities for advancement into roles such as bridge lead or project management within transportation initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Experience in design and detailing of prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, and structural steel
  • Familiarity with MicroStation and structural analysis/design software
Desirable Skills:
  • Master's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural design
  • Knowledge of AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications
  • Experience in bridge planning and design
  • Understanding of MoDOT EPG including design and planning preferences
