Job Overview

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for purchasing requirements needed to support shop operations. This role involves buying and routing emergency requirements same day or next day, aiding the RMS purchasing team and site project managers to ensure parts are available to support shop schedules. The successful candidate will attend weekly shop production meetings and coordinate purchasing actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing commodities on behalf of the company, ensuring timely delivery and meeting deadlines.
  • Developing and implementing cost-saving strategies with suppliers.
  • Maintaining open orders across Engineered-to-order commodities, including shipments, deliveries, and schedules.
  • Collaborating with quality control and engineering teams to resolve nonconforming requests.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess a high school diploma and at least 3 years of experience in purchasing, materials management, and planning. A bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

A competitive salary of $65,000-$75,000 per year, based on location and experience, is offered for this position. Additional benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) plan, employee incentive programs, and reimbursement programs.

This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40+ hours per week. The successful candidate will be based in our Bethlehem, PA facility and may be required to participate in random drug and alcohol testing and background checks.
