Underwriting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriting Technician - Aviation to join our team at Allianz Commercial. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for developing strong relationships with our brokers, underwriters, and operations partners.

• Provide effective and efficient service to brokers, clients, underwriting, claims, and credit control/accounting.
• Support UW production by reviewing and interpreting source underwriting materials regarding completeness of required information.
• Act as a point of contact for underwriters, brokers, and operations offshore Account Technicians.
• Directly engage with brokers/clients for follow-ups and ensure complete and accurate handling of the account from GBO.
• Proactively communicate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactively and collaboratively manage and prioritize workflow to ensure key performance indicators and service standards are met.
• Support continuous process improvement and automation initiatives.

• 3+ years of experience with Property & Casualty and/or Specialty Insurance.
• Experience in policy administration or other core insurance services.
• Account management experience.
• Experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
• Ability to build and foster relationships across the organization and with our brokers/clients.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Effective team player.
