Compensation

The salary for this role is $118,000-$140,000 per year, based on years of experience. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is also available.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Bristol, CT. The successful candidate will function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the treatment of clients with psychiatric and related skills acquired through training and/or experience.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts psychiatric evaluation and formulates accurate diagnoses in accordance with the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM).
  • Manages prescribed medication, performs mental status examinations, develops and presents clear clinical impressions and recommendations.
  • Provides therapeutic interventions appropriate to specific problems and develops and documents clear clinical formulations.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of psychopathology and other behavioral health concerns and effective modalities of psychotherapeutic intervention.
  • Triages clinical emergencies and implements program-specific safety and consultation protocols.
  • Makes clinically appropriate referrals for identified service needs in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Board Certified PMHNP
  • Active DEA Controlled substance registration
