We are seeking a compassionate and customer-focused Pharmacist to join our team at the City of Hope Cancer Hospital in Goodyear, AZ. As a Pharmacist with Maxor, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our retail pharmacy.
Responsibilities- Interpret and fill drug orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide patient information and counseling, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, act as the alternate store leader, responsible for managing ongoing functions of the pharmacy.
- Contact and confer with physicians regarding questions or irregularities on prescriptions.
- Dispense prescriptions, compound, and prepare I.V. admixtures (if applicable).
- Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.
- Maintain patients' medication records and inventory, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians in routine performance of their duties.
- Provide drug information to professional staff and patients as necessary.
- Participate in inventory control programs, ensuring accurate ordering, inventorying, and monitoring of correct pricing and quantities.
- Attend and participate in programs, committees, meetings, and functions as required by the facility or pharmacy.
- Participate in educational programs for professional staff as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree or Pharm. D. from an approved school of pharmacy and registration by the state board of licensure.
- Clear/Active licensed to practice pharmacy in Arizona.
- One-year experience as a practicing pharmacist is preferred.
