Job Summary:

KEI Outdoors is seeking a skilled Landscape/Tree Care professional to join our outdoor landscaping team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and safety of our campground's grounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customers receive exceptional service consistent with our customer service philosophy.
  • Help ensure the safety of guests and campground property through attentive observation and action.
  • Enforce campground policies and implement solutions consistent with our goals.
  • Maintain the upkeep of the campground landscaping, including trimming and shaping shrubs, trees, and plants for health and aesthetic appeal.
  • Remove unwanted weeds, grasses, leaf litter, and other debris.
  • Operate equipment and tools safely and properly, including hedge line trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, hand tools, pruners, saws, rakes, shovels, cultivators, etc.
  • Maintain and repair the irrigation system, including sprinkler head replacement and adjustment, lateral line repairs, and valve replacement.
  • Utilize proper tree pruning practices, including large shade trees and ornamentals.
  • Plant and transplant trees, shrubs, plants, and flowers as directed.
  • Clean equipment, tools, and work areas as required.
  • Perform weekend pool facility maintenance.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or General Manager to support the overall operation of the campground.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in landscaping and/or tree care.
  • Able to work with others and work independently.
  • Recognize and identify plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers used in landscaping.
  • Ability to operate light vehicles safely on property.
  • Intermediate knowledge of common tools used for gardening/landscaping.
  • Intermediate experience with powered equipment used for gardening/landscaping.
  • Capable of digging, bending, climbing, and other manual labor.
  • Professional appearance and attitude towards guests and fellow team members.
  • Communicate professionally and patiently.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to do a variety of tasks both in and out of the daily scope of work.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
