Overview:

The Banquet Server plays a crucial role in ensuring that events are executed flawlessly. This position is responsible for the setup and breakdown of events in accordance with established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a warm and professional atmosphere for guests by adhering to established food and beverage policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to efficiently set up, serve, and dismantle banquet events using proper service techniques.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in executing various banquet functions, including meetings, tastings, receptions, and meals.
  • Respond promptly to requests from supervisors regarding special guest needs or last-minute changes.
  • Ensure that all event spaces are fully prepared at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
  • Assist guests with seating arrangements, including pulling out chairs.
  • Provide attentive service to guests, ensuring their needs are met throughout the event.
  • Maintain a professional appearance by wearing the full uniform, including nametags, during shifts.
  • Accurately take food orders and ensure timely service.
  • Refill beverages as requested during and after meals.
  • Utilize appropriate props and linens to enhance the presentation of food.
  • Return props to designated storage areas after use.
  • Clear soiled dishes and utensils from all areas and organize them for cleaning.
  • Complete assigned side work at the end of each shift.
  • Sort and store soiled dishes and utensils properly.
  • Report any guest complaints to supervisors immediately.
  • Continuously improve service skills to manage events independently when necessary.
  • Ensure cleanliness by sanitizing all surfaces at the end of shifts.
  • Transport linens to designated areas in accordance with color separation guidelines.
  • Restock pantry supplies as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Physical stamina for bending and lifting.
  • Previous experience in a serving role.
  • Strong attention to detail in cleanliness and service.
  • Patient and guest-focused approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor.
  • Dependable and trustworthy.
  • ServSafe and RAMPS/TIPS certification preferred.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including holidays.
  • Willingness to work during peak holiday events.
