Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform most modalities of echocardiography, including reviews of images and paperwork to ensure quality exams are complete and thorough.
  • Participate in the Vascular Lab after hours, on-call, weekend, and holiday schedules.
  • Operate all lab testing equipment and software packages, including ultrasound and physiological equipment, EMR, and Structured Reporting and PACS.
  • Report any equipment issues to the appropriate personnel and remove equipment from service.
  • Clean the equipment and work areas daily and stock rooms with supplies and linen.
  • Maintain up-to-date maintenance logs, including the monthly cleaning log and equipment downtime log.
  • Attend staff and departmental meetings, as well as educational conferences.
  • Stay current with changes in the field and participate in collecting data, images, and articles as necessary.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree from a formal sonography program.
  • ~1 year of cardiac and vascular sonography experience performing non-invasive lab studies.
  • Registered in echocardiography (ARDMS-AE and/or ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCS).
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier).
  • Proficient computer skills (database).
  • Data entry.
  • Effective at data conversion.
