Under the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse II/III, Correctional Facility (CF), the Registered Nurse (RN), CF provides nursing care in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program requirements in a variety of correctional health care settings.
Responsibilities- Organize and provide necessary nursing care to patients.
- Collaborate with the health care team to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary communication to promote continuity of care.
- Address the ongoing health care needs of patients and promote the timely, efficient, and appropriate use of health care resources.
- Possession of a current license as Registered Nurse in California.
- Eligibility for the Registered Nurse, Correctional Facility classification.
- Background Investigation clearance prior to being hired.
- Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
- Valid CA Board of Registered Nursing License.
Please note that possession of minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If you are meeting minimum qualifications with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification.
Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
