Job Summary

The MRI Technologist position at Michigan State University is responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes. This role requires a strong understanding of radiologic technology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images of the body
  • Position patients correctly for imaging procedures
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Maintain accurate records of patient imaging procedures

Requirements

  • ARRT (MR) certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • 2 years of MRI experience preferred

Working Conditions

The MRI Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to human blood, serum, and other body fluids. The position requires standing for long periods and lifting patients as needed.
