Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant or LPN Clinic professional to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will assist physicians/providers in delivering patient care, working within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking and recording patient history and vital signs as applicable.
  • Prepare exam and/or treatment rooms, select, setup and maintain medical supplies and equipment for all examinations, procedures and/or anesthesia interview as applicable.
  • Collaborate with various personnel and departments to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Give injections, apply splints and dressings, and facilitate simple wound management under provider orders.
  • Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
  • May assist in scheduling patients for tests, initial and follow-up appointments.
  • May maintain patient files, records, and other information, including entry of data into electronic medical records.
  • May provide phone screening of patients to appropriate clinical staff and/or physicians.
  • May transport specimens.
  • Perform environmental services, security assistance, and emergency response duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant/Medical Office Assistant program or accredited State Board of Nursing LPN program.
  • Current Washington State MA certification or LPN licensure.
  • Unlicensed upcoming graduate of a Medical Assistant or LPN program will also be considered.
  • Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
  • BART training (de-escalation training) within 30 days of hire.
Skills
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • Cooperative working and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of patients, families, and staff.
  • Effective prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple clinical tasks at one time.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to function independently.
