Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Registered Nurse 2 to join our team at the Clallam Bay Corrections Center. As a Registered Nurse 2, you will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, promoting health, fostering healing, and supporting coping and adjustment to various health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver healthcare services that promote health, foster healing, and support coping and adjustment to various health conditions.
  • Screen, assess, and evaluate incarcerated individuals and their conditions.
  • Respond to all other requests for healthcare attention in a complete, timely, clinically appropriate, and therapeutic manner.
  • Delegate and supervise work, monitor, manage, coordinate, and deliver healthcare services.
  • Plan transition, make referrals, and arrange follow-up when patients transfer or return to the community.
  • Assist patients to improve their skills and ability to provide care for themselves and their families.
  • Counsel, consult, teach, advise, and provide health information that improves quality of health services and/or enhances safety and security.
Requirements
  • Active and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in Washington State.
  • One year of experience working as a Registered Nurse.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work in spaces, climb stairs, walk long distances, and frequently lift up to 30 pounds.
