Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our Distribution Center team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of inbound and outbound freight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations: Perform a variety of functions in a fast-paced Distribution Center environment, including receiving, labeling, putaway, order picking, slotting, replenishment, and loading.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, document production logs, and complete other assigned duties as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives, utilizing manual and/or powered industrial equipment and/or RF guns as required.
Requirements
  • Education: High school education or equivalency preferred.
  • Experience: Prior use of manual and/or powered industrial equipment preferred, with basic warehouse and/or Distribution Center knowledge recommended.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent lifting and carrying of product weighing 5 to 60 pounds, frequent pushing or pulling of material and/or equipment, and regular reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to Extreme Temperatures: Exposure to extreme temperatures dependent on external climate and proximity to dock doors/exits.
  • Noise Level: Moderate noise level from DC conveyor/sortation system and powered industrial equipment.
  • Vibration: Occasional vibration if/when operating powered industrial equipment.
  • Fumes and Airborne Particles: Potential exposure to fumes and airborne particles.
