Position Overview:
The Graduate Quantitative Analyst (GQA) role is available within the Department of Mathematics. The GQA will serve as an essential resource for students requiring support in mathematics, statistics, and quantitative analysis across various academic fields.
- Commit to 10 hours weekly assisting graduate students with quantitative analysis projects.
- Allocate 2 hours each week at the College of Graduate Studies to aid students from diverse academic backgrounds.
- Provide support to students through virtual meetings, email correspondence, and interactive workshops.
- Deliver guidance in quantitative analysis via newsletters, workshops, and classroom engagement.
- Engage in monthly training sessions organized by the Graduate Writing/Quantitative Fellowship Program.
Required Qualifications:
- Enrollment in at least 6 graduate credits each semester.
- Proven proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and quantitative analysis.
- Experience with mathematical and statistical software tools (e.g., Mathematica, MATLAB, SPSS, R).
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
