Recreation and Parks Assistant

Are you passionate about recreation and parks? Do you enjoy working with the public and helping to create a fun and active community? We are seeking a Recreation and Parks Assistant to join our team in Elon, NC

This part-time position will assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of recreational programs and activities. You will work closely with our recreation team to ensure that our facilities and programs are running smoothly and that our community is engaged and active.

• Assist with the planning and coordination of recreational programs and activities
• Supervise and assist with maintaining recreation and parks facilities and grounds
• Coordinate with Public Works staff and participate in routine maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment
• Serve as facility supervisor for rental activities and programs
• Prepare requisitions for supplies and equipment necessary to operate the various programs and activities
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, visitors, town staff, volunteers, and vendors

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalency
• Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification
