Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Automation Engineer to join our team at Archetype Permanent Solutions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and leading the development and execution of control systems for power generation driven by reciprocating gas engines. This role involves retrofitting and converting control systems to programmable controls, with a focus on multipoint injection controls and associated gas valve equipment, as well as auxiliary control systems such as PLCs, HMIs, SCADAs, AVRs, protective relays, and power management controls.

As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will take projects from conception through design and testing to onsite commissioning and ensure all necessary documentation is completed. You will also inspect and test electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex site applications from start to completion utilizing company and third-party resources to meet the objective of delivering a system on time and on budget.
  • Supervise and develop junior engineers/field service engineers on specific tasks, especially related to gas engine applications.
  • Act as a specialist applications engineer in a consultant role (subject matter expert).
  • Develop new and special applications.
  • Assist with developing standards and processes to move the company's engineering forward.
  • Take responsibility as a product champion inside the company on multiple products and applications.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and 5 years of relevant work experience or 12 years of relevant work experience in power generation, industrial automation, or a related industry. A valid US driving license and a valid passport are also required.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $135,000 annually, based on skills and experience. Additionally, you can expect a sign-on bonus and annual bonus (STI) of up to 10% of the annual salary.
