Job Title: Echo Technologist

Job Summary:
Sigma Healthcare is seeking a skilled Echo Technologist to join our team. As an Echo Technologist, you will be responsible for performing direct patient cardiac diagnostic testing procedures with a high level of skill and accuracy. You will work in a fast-paced environment, providing age-specific care to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately perform echocardiogram studies ordered by physicians, including Transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler, Transesophageal, Exercise stress, and pharmacological echocardiography.
  • Perform other cardiac diagnostic studies as assigned, including EKG, Holter prep, monitoring, and analysis, and Cardiac stress tests.
  • Utilize mechanical devices to provide the best diagnostic information to cardiology physicians.
  • Assess hospital information systems for scheduling, processing, and correct charging of all studies.
  • Implement appropriate infection control practices and demonstrate a working knowledge of aseptic techniques and equipment disinfection.
  • Interact with students from contracted colleges and universities, providing preceptorship and clinical guidance as per contracted agreements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform cardiac diagnostic tests following age-specific guidelines and procedures, specifically with neonatal and pediatric patients.

Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Credential: Basic Life Support
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: Successful completion of certification program and/or two years hands-on experience with echocardiography
  • Extensive experience in echocardiography studies in a hospital setting
