Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician I

At SigSauer, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician I to join our team. This individual will be responsible for supporting facilities, ranges, and maintenance operations at our Sig Sauer Academy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain fire suppression systems, including off-hour phone responses and physical reporting.
  • Meet with outside contractors and deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Oversee installation, inspections, repairs, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management.
  • Utilize E-maint to complete maintenance requests for reactive and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure contracted cleaning services meet contractual obligations and recommend additional work to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Perform landscaping operations and recommend additional work to ensure grounds meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain and document all work in indoor ranges, ensuring they are clean, safe, and in peak performance.
  • Work safely by wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.
  • Monitor indoor and outdoor ranges for continuous improvement and safety.
  • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on range ventilation systems, change filters, and empty range lead.
  • Pick up spent brass, trash, and items that should not be seen by customers.
  • Work with outside contractors to remediate berms using an environmentally engineered system.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and mechanical equipment, such as packaged heating/cooling units, ventilation systems, water filtration, roofing systems, etc.
  • Repair and maintain targets and targeting systems, retrievers, and steel.
  • Assist in maintenance of heavy equipment, snow blowers, landscaping equipment, and fleet vehicles.
  • Perform snow removal operations outside of contracted seasonal work.
  • Be available for weekend work, including emergencies, special events, scheduled shifts, and extenuating circumstances.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma
  • 3-5 years' related experience as a Facilities Maintenance Technician or equivalent experience
Working Conditions:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician I will work in a typical manufacturing environment, performing repetitive tasks, standing for 90% of the shift, and frequently lifting and/or moving tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 40 pounds. The individual must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently, and demonstrate proficient fine motor skills.
