Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Technician to join our team at the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. As a Construction Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to construction and renovation projects, including drywall installation and finishing, cabinetry and fixture installation, and painting and finish work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drywall Installation and Finishing: Demonstrate proficiency in hanging drywall and drywall finishing, including texturing.
  • Cabinetry and Fixture Installation: Install cabinetry and fixtures, including baseboards and doors and trim.
  • Painting and Finish Work: Skilled in painting and finish work, including preparation and application of finishes.
  • Construction and Renovation: Perform a variety of tasks related to construction and renovation projects, including demolition, carpentry, and electrical work.

Requirements:

  • Previous Construction Experience: Previous experience in construction and renovation is required.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet established production goals and timelines.
  • Effective Communication: Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • High School Diploma/GED: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Background Check: Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Exposure to Extreme Conditions: Exposure to extreme conditions such as heat.
  • Physical Demands: Walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing.
  • Ability to Climb Ladders: Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights.

Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
