The role involves working in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) within Minor Care, Med Surg, and PCU. Candidates must possess comprehensive experience across these areas and be adaptable to departmental needs.
Active Washington state nursing license is required.
Key duties include:
- Assessing and addressing patient and family educational needs through appropriate methods.
- Ensuring patient safety through preventive measures, including the correct use of side rails and restraints.
- Demonstrating proficiency in the operation of all relevant medical equipment in the PCU, Telemetry, and Med Surg areas.
- Implementing infection control protocols and maintaining proper documentation.
- Maintaining thorough and accurate records of patient status, nursing interventions, and responses during shifts.
- Completing physician orders promptly and accurately.
- Providing detailed shift reports to incoming staff.
- Communicating effectively with other departments and reporting critical lab values as per policy.
- Restocking emergency supplies and general inventory as needed.
This position is categorized as a Rapid Response Crisis.
Shift InformationShifts will be scheduled during the night.
Experience RequirementsA minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is required.
Additional InformationContract length is set for 13 weeks, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week. General certifications such as ACLS and BLS/BCLS are necessary.
