Job Summary:

The Bar Helper is responsible for fostering an engaging atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves delivering courteous, prompt assistance to the Food & Beverage teams while ensuring that the bar and guest-facing areas are consistently clean and well-stocked.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold the business objectives, ethics, and values of the organization in alignment with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Deliver quick, friendly, and professional beverage service to guests and beverage servers.
  • Prepare beverages as requested.
  • Establish rapport with guests.
  • Welcome and greet all guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly operational checklists.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the bar area, including mats, floors, sinks, drains, and equipment.
  • Ensure the bar area is clean and stocked in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Receive and replenish supplies from the main warehouse.
  • Transport supplies, including beer and liquor, to various bars as needed during shifts.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of products and supplies in assigned areas.
  • Utilize inventory management tools to assist bartenders with daily inventory tasks.
  • Adhere to departmental par levels.
  • Capable of moving and tapping kegs.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene as necessary following guidelines.
  • Comply with local liquor laws as outlined by regulatory authorities.
  • Complete daily checklists to qualify for shared tips.
  • Stay informed about casino promotions and events to effectively respond to customer inquiries.
  • Follow all regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures ethically.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Six months of prior customer service experience preferred.
  • CARE certification preferred.
  • Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Attention to detail and observant nature.
  • Demonstrated teamwork behaviors and attitudes.
  • Professional appearance and excellent personal hygiene.
  • Understanding of beverage operations.
Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands:
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and manually push 300 pounds.
  • Capable of maneuvering and tapping a keg weighing 165 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hour shifts.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grasp items.
  • Ability to respond to visual and auditory cues.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels, temperatures, and air quality.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
