Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Paraprofessional to join our educational team at Soliant. The successful candidate will assist teachers in the classroom, provide support to students, and contribute to a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers with classroom management and instructional tasks, ensuring a smooth and productive learning environment.
  • Student Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
  • IEP Implementation: Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring that their unique requirements are met.
  • Preparation and Organization: Prepare and organize instructional materials and resources, ensuring that teachers have the necessary tools to deliver high-quality instruction.
  • Supervision: Supervise students during non-classroom times, including in the cafeteria, on the playground, and during field trips, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and record student progress and behavior, providing valuable insights to teachers and other staff members.
  • Classroom Environment: Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment, promoting a positive and respectful culture among students and staff.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student learning and well-being, ensuring that all stakeholders are working together towards common goals.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for an Associate's degree or higher, or completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education, or a minimum of 48 college credit hours.
  • Experience: Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting students with special needs.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and a passion for helping students succeed.
  • Certifications: Must pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting as required by Wisconsin state law, and completion of any required state and local certifications for paraprofessionals.
