Job Title: Yard Jockey Driver

We are seeking an experienced Yard Jockey Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience and a great driving record.

Job Summary:

Drives switching equipment, tractors, and straight trucks to transport goods or equipment to and from designated locations. Loads and unloads trailers and verifies product count. Maintains a clean and safe docking area and reports any maintenance or safety issues to supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Drives switching equipment, tractors, and straight trucks to transport goods or equipment to and from designated locations.
  • Loads and unloads trailers and verifies product count.
  • Maintains a clean and safe docking area and reports any maintenance or safety issues to supervision.
  • Refuels vehicles on site and documents locations and condition of equipment.
  • Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Considerable knowledge of tractor/truck mechanics and maintenance.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain clean driving record.
  • Ability to comply with all applicable OSHA regulations, Commercial driving requirements as per state and federal D.O.T. and/or MSDS standards.
