The Cocoon Shelter is a nonprofit entity committed to fostering safety, recovery, and justice for individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence in Wood County and its neighboring regions. Our vision is to eradicate domestic and sexual violence while empowering those impacted by these issues.
Position Title: Prevention Specialist
Role Summary:
- Implement primary prevention initiatives addressing sexual and domestic violence within educational institutions and the broader community.
- Utilize a public health framework to mitigate violence at the individual, relational, community, and societal levels.
- Offer on-call support as required.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Attractive salary and benefits package.
