The role of a Personal Care Aide at AmeriCare Plus involves providing comprehensive support to clients in their homes. This includes assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as managing client medication, preparing meals, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support to clients. This requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and patience. Additionally, you should be able to work effectively in a team environment and be flexible in your approach to meet the changing needs of clients.

The estimated salary for this position is $12-$16 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional growth and development, and a supportive work environment that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read, comply with, and refer to the Medicaid manual (DMAS), VDH regulations, and AmeriCare Plus company policy and procedures
- Work in conjunction with the corporate office to meet budget expectations
- Complete all aide records for each client assigned
- Read and become knowledgeable of each client's plan of care
- Attend at least 12 hours of in-service training per year as requested by the Agency Manager, Staffing Coordinator, or designee

Requirements:
- Must be certified as a CNA, NA, or PCA (exception Companion Aide only to Private Pay)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Documentation of positive work history as evidenced by at least two work references on file
- Valid Driver's License
- No more than 2 company or state barrier crimes (criminal history check results must meet state and company standards)
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
