About the Role: We are seeking a skilled attorney to enhance our Litigation Department. Below are key aspects of this position:
- You will not be responsible for marketing cases, although you are welcome to do so. If you generate referrals, you will receive a guaranteed percentage of the fees as outlined in your Employment Agreement. No discretionary bonuses based on ownership's discretion.
- A six-figure salary is guaranteed, along with a contractually binding percentage of the settlements or verdicts you secure, as detailed in your Employment Agreement.
- Our office operates with a structured approach, featuring well-defined policies and procedures to facilitate efficient case management.
- You will manage a litigation caseload of approximately 35-40 files, supported by a dedicated team of two experienced staff members, ensuring you have the resources you need.
- Your focus will solely be on litigation; you will not handle pre-suit cases. Our expert pre-suit team will manage those, allowing you to concentrate on your role as a litigator.
- We offer a robust benefits package, including 401(K), health insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and more.
- You will not need to handle the business aspects of running a firm, allowing you to focus entirely on litigation and trial work.
- A dedicated intake department will manage incoming calls, freeing you from handling intakes directly.
Qualifications:
- Must be in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- Experience in personal injury law is required; defense attorneys need not apply.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is expected; training will be provided as needed.
- Experience with Case Management Systems, particularly FileVine, is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Education and Experience:
Juris Doctorate with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience on the Plaintiff's side, including significant trial experience.
