Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Electrical Assembly Specialist plays a crucial role in executing electrical installations across various products, demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting, servicing, diagnosing failures, and repairing electrical and related systems. The ideal candidate will possess a robust electrical and manufacturing background, experience adhering to industry standards, and the ability to interpret technical drawings, thriving in a dynamic and repetitive work environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven electrical experience.
  • Accredited certification in low or medium voltage systems.
  • Experience in the manufacturing and/or maintenance sectors of the oil and gas industry, particularly with low and medium voltage electrical systems, is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated capability to calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and install instrumentation and electrical devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Effective time management skills in a manufacturing setting.
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Proficient use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Skilled in the safe use of hand tools.
  • Commitment to quality work, characterized by accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
  • Efficient problem-solving skills, with a focus on timely identification and resolution of issues.
  • Adaptability to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected situations.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Installation, repair, or replacement of components in controllers, switchboards, switches, conductors, and other electrical devices.
  • Testing solid-state circuitry to identify defective components in both digital and analog equipment.
  • Implementation of enhancements and significant upgrades to electrical subsystems.
  • Programming variable frequency drives (VFD), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and other control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and work instructions accurately.
  • Installation of necessary components using current assembly techniques.
  • Effective operation and utilization of hand and power tools, along with all relevant measuring equipment.
  • Organization and maintenance of a clean and efficient workstation.
  • Commitment to the company’s safety culture.
  • Completion of all required assembly documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned, recognizing that this job description is not exhaustive and responsibilities may evolve.
Working Conditions:
  • Evening and weekend work may be necessary based on job demands.
  • Work may occur in both shop and outdoor environments.
  • Regular exposure to varying temperatures, dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise levels.
  • Physical requirements include frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching.
  • Frequent repetitive motions, such as using wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, and impact tools.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights of at least four feet.
  • Operation of overhead cranes, mobile equipment, and motor vehicles as necessary.
  • Capability to safely lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Compensation:

$20/HR - $40/HR

Compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may vary from the stated range.
