Location: This position requires a local candidate who can work onsite.
  • We are looking for a Solutions Architect who thrives in a dynamic environment, eager for professional development, and dedicated to supporting significant IT initiatives for a prominent Investor-Owned Utility client based in New Jersey.
  • This role involves the design and execution of IT systems architecture that aligns with the specified business needs for a complex, long-term initiative aimed at upgrading the existing SAP ERP system to S4/HANA for a regulated utility organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in process flow analysis and redesign in collaboration with Business and IT Product Owners.
  • Create comprehensive functional design documentation that aligns with client requirements.
  • Work alongside a team of Developers and Engineers to identify the most suitable technical strategies and designs to fulfill business objectives.
  • Interact with clients to comprehend their needs, scope projects, discover and define solutions, and articulate business advantages and use cases, along with a roadmap to achieve their objectives.
  • Assist the business in evaluating the effort, risks, and implications of modifications to the existing architecture.
  • Develop technical specifications for custom development and systems integration needs.
  • Design workflows and assignment protocols to streamline manual processes.
  • Maintain and create system-related documentation, including business requirements, process flows, data mappings, and configuration worksheets.
Required Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • Additional years of pertinent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with SAP S/4 HANA and relevant implementation or upgrade experience.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering and design documentation are essential.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into solution designs.
  • Proficient in asking the right questions to clarify solutions.
  • Familiarity with methodologies such as Agile, SDLC, and SCRUM and other industry fundamentals.
  • Expertise in designing and constructing architectures that facilitate well-integrated transactional and collaborative solutions.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in the utility sector is advantageous.
This is a Contract opportunity.

Contract Duration: 6+ months with potential for extension.
Compensation: $65-67 per hour.
