About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and animal-loving Sales Associate to join our team at Petco. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe store environment, and ensuring the health and well-being of our live animals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide optimal guest experience services, including answering questions and making product recommendations.
  • Assist guests in the proper selection of merchandise in accordance with their identified needs.
  • Demonstrate a high level of interest in the welfare, health, and proper handling of all animals.
  • Perform cashiering duties, including processing transactions and handling customer payments.
  • Perform related duties in support of the store attaining its assigned sales goal.
  • Ensure merchandise is properly stocked and priced.
  • Adhere to established operational guidelines and store policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to Guest Experience Leader and/or Leader on Duty as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and pull 2000 pounds utilizing material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
