VDC Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Engineer to join our team at Clayco. As a key member of our project teams, you will be responsible for supporting the design-build process and implementing Clayco's Digital Practice Technology.

• Provide technical support for BIM-centric activities, including 3D and 2D coordination, and liaison with design teams and project subcontractors.
• Assist with quantities extraction and scheduling, and provide technical support for a range of applications used in-house.
• Coach project teams in the use of companywide BIM best practices and coordinate 3D content modeled by others.
• Perform 4D virtual building analysis, 5D virtual building analysis, and clash detection on virtual building models.
• Manage model changes through design updates and as-built conditions, and serve as the information manager and content gatekeeper for the duration of the project.

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 1-3 years of experience in the AEC industry, with a focus on MEP coordination.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with VDC/BIM-related processes.
• Solid knowledge of construction principles and practices, and advanced proficiency with Autodesk Building Design Suite and other related technologies.
