Empower Young Voices: Speech-Language Pathologist (Elementary)

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide vital speech and language services to a dedicated elementary school student population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group speech-language evaluations to identify communication needs specific to elementary school students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's speech and language goals, considering their unique developmental stage and learning style.
  • Utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches to address a range of communication disorders commonly seen in elementary school children, such as articulation difficulties, language delays, fluency issues, and social communication challenges.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, administrators, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting each child's communication development in all settings.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data, and report on the effectiveness of interventions to inform ongoing therapy plans for the elementary caseload.
  • Create positive and supportive learning environments that foster communication skills, confidence, and social interaction in young learners.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in speech-language pathology for the elementary school population.

Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts State License in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
  • Prior experience working with elementary school-aged children with speech and language impairments in a school setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in speech and language assessment, intervention, and program development specifically tailored for elementary school students.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with young children, parents, and school staff.
  • Creativity and a passion for using engaging approaches to support communication development in elementary school students.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting on student progress.
  • Understanding of child development as it relates to communication skills in the elementary school age range.
  • Passion for helping young children overcome speech and language challenges and reach their full potential.
