Job Description

Gold Coast Eagle Distributing Inc is seeking a qualified CDL Class A Route Driver to transport goods to multiple client sites in one day.

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on client service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive company-owned commercial tractor trailer trucks to transport goods to client sites.
  • Verify loads at pick-up to ensure each order is complete.
  • Schedule deliveries in an efficient manner to maximize time and traffic.
  • Deliver and stock products as per each client's specifications.
  • Complete paperwork required for delivery and ensure clients receive their copy.

Requirements:

  • CDL Class A license.
  • 7 year CDL driving history.
  • Able to maintain a safe driving record.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Proven ability to safely operate job-related equipment.

Working Conditions:

The job requires the employee to drive a Company tractor trailer, transporting goods in accordance with client's orders. Lifting and carrying goods or forklift/dolly from the vehicle to the retail site, then to the client's cooler, which may have hazards such as a wet floor, wires, etc.

The employee is expected to use caution at all times while on the job.

Physical Requirements:

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and Company physical.
  • Ability to get the job done both inside (air conditioning) and outside (Florida heat) with extreme temperature swings.
