Child Protection Specialist

Job Summary
The State of Florida is seeking a highly skilled Child Protection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our child protective services, you will be responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect, providing support to families in crisis, and working closely with community partners to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into reports of child abuse and neglect
- Provide supportive services to families in need, including counseling and case management
- Collaborate with community partners, such as law enforcement and social services agencies, to ensure the safety and well-being of children
- Develop and implement effective case plans to address the needs of families and children
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of investigations and case activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field
- 1 year of experience in child protective services or a related field
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
