Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Addiction Medicine Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients struggling with substance use disorders.
About the Role:The successful candidate will work closely with the Substance Use Disorder Medical Director to provide guidance on the development and treatment of substance use disorders in patients at MGB Salem Hospital. The primary focus will be on the development of substance use disorder treatment in the outpatient setting, including the intensive outpatient program.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in treating SUD patients, including those with co-occurring disorders. A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field is required. Any licensed discipline (PhD/PsyD, LICSW or LMHC) is also acceptable.
Responsibilities:- Provide guidance on the development and treatment of substance use disorders in patients at MGB Salem Hospital.
- Work closely with the Substance Use Disorder Medical Director to develop and implement substance use disorder treatment programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients with substance use disorders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community-based organizations and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in hospital-wide, community-based, and MGB SUD task forces to advance the field of addiction medicine.
- Minimum of five years of experience in treating SUD patients, including those with co-occurring disorders.
- Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
- Any licensed discipline (PhD/PsyD, LICSW or LMHC).
