Job Title: School Nurse

Wynne School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of our students, staff, and community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide health assessments and screenings to students, identifying potential health issues and developing plans to address them.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure students receive the necessary support and accommodations to succeed academically.
  • Develop and implement health education programs to promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles among students.
  • Administer medications and provide first aid as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for students.
  • Participate in school health committees and contribute to the development of health policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Arkansas.
  • Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a school setting.
  • Certification in school nursing or a related field.
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with students with special needs.
  • Knowledge of school health laws and regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
