Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Oversee the maintenance and cleaning of the Y Facility and grounds, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our members.
  • Project Management: Manage, coordinate, and schedule work projects to be completed with minimal disruption to members.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Ensure that all safety and risk management best practices are followed, conducting daily building audits to determine workflow.
  • Pool Operations: Manage the chemical and mechanical aspects of the pools to adhere to local laws, maintaining pool operator and pesticide applicator licenses.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage contracts and order weekly supplies.
  • Snow Removal: Ensure snow removal from walkways.
  • Event Setup and Tear Down: Set up and tear down of various activities.
  • Equipment Evaluation: Conduct daily evaluation of equipment and facility, following up on all safety and cleanliness-related issues.
  • Construction and Renovation: Work with the President/CEO to oversee all construction and renovation projects.
  • Staff Management: Responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating all maintenance and housekeeping staff members.
  • Payroll and Scheduling: Create staff schedules, monitor time sheets, and complete payroll.
  • Team Collaboration: Be an active member of the management team, working with all directors to ensure facility cleanliness, maintenance of facility equipment, and recommend improvements.
  • Annual Support Campaign: Participate in the Annual Support Campaign.
