Job Description

Position Overview: As a Restaurant Host/Cashier Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience at Perkins Restaurant & Bakery. You will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient service, controlling the flow of business, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Host Guests: Greet guests upon arrival, seat them promptly, and ensure they feel welcome throughout their visit.
  • Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and returns.
  • Bakery Sales: Offer recommendations on bakery items, package take-out orders, and maintain a clean and attractive display case.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the cashier area, bakery cases, and dining room.
  • Assistance: Provide support to servers, bus persons, and other team members as needed to achieve excellent service standards.

Requirements: We are seeking an individual with excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have basic math skills, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods.
