Position Summary

TJ Property Management is seeking dedicated snow removal personnel for the winter season. This role may transition into a full-time position post-winter. The Snow Removal Specialist will work collaboratively to efficiently and safely clear snow and manage risks associated with winter weather conditions.

Ideal candidates should possess a strong work ethic, be team-oriented, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Previous landscaping experience is advantageous, and a positive demeanor is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond swiftly to snow and ice event notifications.
  • Arrive for shifts in a condition suitable for safe operation of equipment, free from the influence of substances.
  • Conduct thorough pre-shift inspections and maintenance on all machinery and vehicles.
  • Clear snow from designated customer areas as outlined in site maps.
  • Store snow in approved locations only.
  • Operate snow plow vehicles and equipment responsibly, adhering to all operational guidelines.
  • Manage ice accumulation using de-icing agents safely and effectively.
  • Hand-shovel or treat areas as necessary, including walkways and entrances.
  • Maintain open communication throughout shifts and during transitions.
  • Document service records accurately for each site, including times, services rendered, and weather conditions.
  • Submit all necessary paperwork promptly at the end of each shift.
  • Report any site obstacles encountered.
  • Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and equipment as needed.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment consistently.
  • Adhere to all company policies and local health and safety regulations.
  • Engage with customers courteously and professionally.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand-held and power tools is essential.
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds repeatedly and remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
