We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Heartland Hospice. As a Hospice Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist patients with mobility and ambulation, including the safe use of walkers and wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve light meals and snacks, as well as assist with feeding patients when needed.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including light housekeeping tasks such as emptying trash and changing linens.
- Assist with certain treatments as ordered on the aide plan of care and as allowable in state-specific regulations.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, promoting mental alertness and well-being.
- Document patient care and visit itineraries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in quality improvement activities as assigned by supervisor.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Six (6) months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology strongly preferred.
- Current driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Current CPR certification.
