Role Responsibilities

The selected candidate will engage in various tasks within our Power and Propulsion Lab, focusing on the development, assessment, upkeep, and operation of Test Vehicles. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting test drives of vehicles
  • Supporting design and development initiatives
  • Maintaining hybrid electric and fuel cell systems
  • Working with energy storage systems and vehicles

Essential Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • A foundational understanding of mechanical design and electronic circuits
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics
  • Capability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to commercial vehicle operation
  • Competence in using software tools such as WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to work overtime as required and maintain productivity with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with hybrid driveline systems
  • Strong understanding of DOT safety regulations
  • A clean driving record
  • CDL with Manual Endorsement
  • Experience in basic vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Familiarity with welding and fabrication
  • Background in an Engineering Team environment
  • Experience in supporting electrical and mechanical design
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle mechanical/electrical system architecture
  • An Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $79,400. Individual salaries are determined by various factors, including market conditions and candidate qualifications.
