Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care by collecting medical information, documenting treatment procedures, and preparing patients for examination.
  • Evaluate provider orders and communicate effectively with providers when clarifications are needed.
  • Prepare pre-visit documentation and manage patient information received from outside resources.
  • Answer phones, assist with communication, and track lab/imaging results.
  • Obtain procedure/test reports and assist with scheduling.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification by either the AAMA (CMA), AMT (RMA), or obtained within 6 months from date of hire.
  • Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association) or obtain within 90-days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a hospital or clinic environment.
