The Cortland Healthcare Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping/ Laundry Aide to join our team. As a Housekeeping/ Laundry Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Clean resident rooms and other interior/exterior community areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Provide efficient laundry delivery services to residents and staff.
- Assist in maintaining a positive physical environment for residents, including restocking supplies and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies and maintain established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Housekeeping Policies and Procedures.
- Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must possess and demonstrate the ability to carry out both verbal and written directions.
- Must possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers, and community staff in the performance of duties.
- Ability to observe proper safety and sanitary techniques.
- Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.
- Must have related experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
- Previous experience in long-term care preferred, but not required.
- Eligible for benefits the first of the month following 30 days.
