We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Medical Plaza Pharmacy in Lake Charles, LA.

About the Role:

This is a per diem, nonexempt position that requires filling orders with accuracy, checking technician-prepared products, maintaining security of the pharmacy and controlled substances, and entering orders and patient information with precision.

Responsibilities:
  • Filling orders with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Checking technician-prepared products before release
  • Maintaining security of the pharmacy and controlled substances
  • Entering orders and patient information with precision
  • Aiding in the training of new staff
  • Updating the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy
  • Aiding the Director in maintaining the pharmacy
Requirements:
  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current Pharmacist license in good standing in Louisiana
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written
