Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a dedicated Travel RN specializing in Medical/Surgical for the 3 South unit. This role involves working night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM, with a commitment of 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment. A 30-minute paid break is provided if the healthcare professional remains on the unit.
Key Qualifications:
- Active MS Nursing License
- Minimum of 1.5 years of acute care nursing experience
- AHA BLS certification is required
- Preferred experience in a facility with 400+ beds or level 2 trauma
- Prior travel nursing experience is advantageous
- EPIC software experience is a plus
- ACLS certification is preferred
Patient Care Responsibilities:
The nurse will provide care for patients with conditions such as general medical-surgical issues, weakness, COPD, and respiratory failure. The age range for patients includes those 21 and older, with responsibilities including managing non-titratable drips, IV insertions, and Foley catheter insertions.
Equipment Utilized:
- Baxter IV Pump
- Telemetry systems
- Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
- Omnicell medication cabinets
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio:
The typical patient ratio is 1:6-7, which may extend to 1:8-9 if an LPN is present.

Compensation:
The estimated weekly pay for this position is $1984, based on qualifications and experience. This rate applies specifically to travel positions located more than 50 miles from the nurse's permanent address.
