Job Title: Welder

Job Summary:

Amtec is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply welding techniques to join and fabricate metal and other weldable materials.
  • Weld components and parts in accordance with Western Valve welding procedures.
  • Interpret and use blueprints, welding specifications, and Western Valve's welding procedures.
  • Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness.
  • Grind welds and deburr using a grinder.
  • Train in GMAW and GTAW welding procedures.
  • Read and understand routers and fill out as required.
  • Operate overhead cranes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Preferred 35 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of TIG welding preferred.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Ability to think critically, innovate, and solve problems.
  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.
